Our Fishing Fleet 

Taroona has assembled a fleet of 2 vessels which are modified for the purpose of catching mackerel fishing off Darwin.

Our vessels, South Seas Daniela and Rat Patrol are outfitted with the latest technology to enable our crews to efficiently locate and harvest fish. Each vessel is staffed by a dedicated crew with years of angling experience.

Rat Patrol is  a 1985, 15.3 meter fiberglass hull, X cray fishing boat converted to be Spanish Mackerel troll liner. It has all the latest navigation and surveillance systems to find and harvest Spanish Mackerel, plus a crew that enjoys putting themselves against large, energetic fish.

South Seas is a 1956, 16.3 meter wooden hole, X cray fishing boat that was fully reconverted for optimal Spanish mackerel fishing 

Daniela is staffed by a crew with a deep understanding of the Spanish mackerel. They know waters of Darwin so well they probably don’t need GPS, but she has one anyway.
